A woman in southeastern China allegedly sneezed out some cotton left over from a nose job that she had undergone half a year ago.

The woman, surnamed Zhu, is now demanding compensation for what she believes is negligence on the part of her surgeons.

Zhu underwent a rhinoplasty at a cosmetic clinic in Nanchang, Jiangxi province back in October, Sina News reported.

Unfortunately, she has since experienced discomfort in her nose, and the sensation only ended last week when she finally sneezed out a rotting cotton ball.

The rhinoplasty — a procedure that essentially changes the shape of the nose — cost Zhu 26,000 yuan ($3,870).

“There’s some blood and it really smells bad. At this point I realized it has something to do with the rhinoplasty,” Zhu said.

The clinic, however, denied responsibility over the shocking discovery.

According to East Day, representatives referred to an agreement that both parties had signed in January, which compensates Zhu 10,000 yuan ($1,500) but relieves the clinic from taking responsibility for any issues she may experience in the future.

The clinic head also raised suspicions on Zhu’s claims, pointing out that it would be impossible for her to breathe had the material been truly stuck in her nasal cavity.

As such, the clinic invited Zhu to present evidence before it can agree to take responsibility.

Zhu is seeking 100,000 yuan ($15,000) in damages.
