Incredibly Lavish Horse Stable in China Goes Viral

source: pickle.nine.com.au

Don’t believe everything you read on Reddit.

The above photo of a lavish stable with marble floor is trending at the moment after it was posted to the forum with the caption "only in Dubai".

It looks like Gringotts, but instead of being manned by goblins, horses take their place.

The post has attracted more than 32,000 upvotes as Redditors scoff at the unnecessary opulence of the Middle East's elite.

But it turns out they were off the mark.

Because this is actually a photo of the Heilan International Equestrian Club, which is located in Jiangsu, China.

The grand hall is the club's Horse Culture Museum, which displays equine-related art and shows off its fancy, fancy horses.

The whole thing stretches over a whopping 260,000 square metres.

It is owned by the Heilan Group, which bought roughly 400 "high-end horses" from more than 30 countries for the equestrian centre.

The fleet includes more than 50 breeds of horses that are probably worth way more than you could ever get flogging your non-essential organs on the black market.

They even have zebras, for crying out loud.

The obscenely valuable horses are on display for people to view but, as MessNessy speculates, that's probably before a big equestrian show.

And from what we can see, they don’t actually live in those stalls lined with materials more expensive than our entire net worth.

So yeah, the centre isn't the stable belonging to an elaborate billionaire who struck it rich on Saudi oil, but it's still pretty luxe.
